Prospects 2010: Emerging markets in the coming year

While emerging markets initially appeared insulated from the international financial crisis, contagion in the form of widespread capital flight and diminished export demand exerted a negative influence on almost all developing countries’ growth in 2009. As the world prepares to enter the next decade, this conference call seeks to address the key questions that will determine the pace of recovery, including:

  • how the crisis has influenced emerging markets' development strategies and processes of structural reform;
  • which countries and regions will manage best in a climate of below trend global growth; and
