Subject to internal capacity needs, the Consulting Practice takes on interns over the summer.

What we would like from you

  • High level of education (we will consider applicants from BA students through to DPhil students)
  • Education and/or work experience relevant to our work (e.g. subjects might include international relations, regional studies, political science, economics, etc.)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Editing experience a plus
  • Quantitative skills a plus
  • Meets any required visa regulations (e.g. foreign students with a UK student visa)

Time commitment

Summer internships are full time. We may also offer internships during the December-January term break, depending on departmental needs.

What we offer in return

  • Basic pay
  • Interesting work – while an intern should expect some administrative and quantitative work, we seek to provide an intern with some substantive work. We will strive to assign summer interns to at least one project that will provide some consistency and a sense of ownership in their work.
  • Mentoring – we will provide interns with a mentor to whom they can go to for questions about work or career path.
  • An opportunity for interns to meet senior members at OA from different departments.
  • An opportunity to learn about our services. Interns are encouraged to attend the morning conference.

Applications

Speculative applications are welcome. Please send your CV and a covering letter to cp_recruitment@oxford-analytica.com.

Testimonial

From a 2007 Intern

“During my time at Oxford Analytica, I participated in a number of different projects, most notably, a market-entry study for a major railway equipment supplier.

“Other projects included the development of an index measuring national prosperity for a global investment group, and a survey on national technological innovation for a government client.

“As a team member, I was generally given a considerable amount of responsibility, and on one occasion even placed in charge of a project for two weeks while the project manager was away from the office.”
